Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Aaron Tyrone Carroll of Tampa who passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016, will be held on Saturday, February 13th at 4:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Ernest Coney, officiating. Aaron was born October 16, 1955 in Elkton, Maryland and was a longtime resident of Tampa. He loved playing the guitar and was a skilled painter. He enjoyed his family and had a good sense of humor and was an all-around sportsman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron Thomas Johnson and Bernice E. Carroll. He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Aaron Tyrone Carroll (Natasha); grandchildren, Shawndra Mathis, Malik, Arianna, Aaralyn and, Sumayyah Carroll, Jasmyn Simmons, Jaylen Martin and Marquis Sullivan; brothers, Jamie Johnson (Yoshiko), Bruce Ennals and Charlie Johnson; sisters, Deborah C. Allen (Nicholas), Theresa E. Carroll, Darlene Slaughter and Judy Ann Dorsey (Paul T. Grey); aunt, Helene Slaughter; a host of uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; devoted friends, Mary Burgess and Poquita White. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, February 12th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
