Obituary

Albert, affectionately nicknamed "Nab", was born on August 5, 1928, in White Springs, FL., to Ernest Johnson and Annie Lee Paige. Albert was a US Air Force veteran for 22 years, having served at the end of World War II and combat in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from active-duty military service and continued his government service as a civil servant with the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, ultimately retiring after a 15-year campaign.

Some of Alberts favorite hobbies included family ancestral and bible research, collecting coins, stamps, and phonograph records. He was a member of the Masonic Prince Hall Lodge #82, Hawaii Democrat Party, Hawaii African American Society, NAACP (Hawaii Chapter), And Hickam AFB Gospel Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Willie Lee (Billy) Clark; Carl Benjamin Jackson; son, Gary Johnson; and daughter, Alvia Jill Sharp.

He leaves precious memories with his wife, Gwendolyn Johnson; children, Sandra Pridgen (Dave), Albert Johnson, Jr. (Tracy), Linard Johnson (Bernadine), Petronia "Kay" Johnson, Tony Johnson (Brenda), and David "Kevin" Johnson; grandchildren, Angel, Bruce, Nicole, Markhaela, Brianna, Ashley, Noah, David Christopher, Olivia, Jonah, Caleb, Isaiah, and Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jordan, King, and Leilani; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
