A Homegoing visitation for Mr. Albert Shiggs 'Big A' of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 will be held Saturday, May 21st, 1:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Prophet Daniel Powell, Sr. officiating. Albert Shiggs was born in Hampton County, SC. He came to Florida in the 1950's. He later married Mattie P. Shiggs (nowdeceased-2007) in 1974. He retired in the late 90's as a truck driver for over 30 years. Albert was a loving and devoted father to Carol Shiggs Green and Talawnda Shiggs Downs(aka, Dede); devoted son-in-law, William Downs;2 granddaughters, Rynechia D. Favors and Kyaira S. Barker; sisters, Mary Alice Graves and Alberta Russell; brother, James Shiggs;devoted friends, Gary Helms and Frank Stokes; a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Saturday, May 27th from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at chapel on Saturday for the homegoing visitation.
