Obituary

Homegoing Services for Mr. Albert McPherson, Sr. of Tampa, who passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, will be held on Friday, November 13th, 12:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Elder Melvin Lee, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Albert McPherson, Sr. was born on November 22, 1926 in Miccosukee, Florida to the late Edward McPherson and Ella Davis Williams and raised by his grandparents, Eliza and John Henry Davis. He served in the United States Navy and fought in World War II. He worked and retired from the City of Tampa Parks Department after 32 years of faithful service. He also served as a deacon for many years in the Apostolic Church of Jesus and enjoyed hunting rabbits and fishing. He was a devoted husband and married for 62 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Jessie Marshall and sister, Patience Williams. He leaves to cherish and celebrate his memory wife, Juanita Marshall McPherson; children, Mae Carolyn Beacham (Donald), Albert McPherson, Jr.(Frances), Alisa McPherson Howell (Nathaniel), Cynthia McPherson, Shirley McPherson, Linda Maddox, John Bull, Jr., and Kenneth Bull; grandchildren, Anita McPherson Dixon (Andre) Anitra McPherson, Danielle McPherson, Fredericka D. McPherson, Frederick L. McPherson(Ginelle), Theresa Smith, Stacey Smith, Carlisia Shepherd (Germaine), Tarence Kinsey, Jr., Tiffany McPherson, Issac Dix, Jessica Marshall, Maverick Franklin, Jr., Rafael Nieves, Ashley Nieves, Jalessa Bull, Joshua Bull, Joseph Jones I, John Bull III, Jacquelyn Maddox, Reginald Maddox, Gregory Maddox, and Lakeisha Maddox; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Nora McPherson Gilmore, Betty Haugabrook and Mamie McPherson; and many other sorrowing relatives and friends. Special thanks to the VA Home Health Department. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Thursday, November 12th, from 5-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Friday for the service.
