Mrs. Albertha Brown Bright was born on January 31, 1935 in Quitman, Georgia to parents the late Moton and Maggie Simmons-Brown. She was a dedicated member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Seffner, Florida. She loved cooking, serving and singing in the choir, reading her bible and solving word puzzles.
Albertha was preceded in death by her husband, Parrish Bright; brothers, Willie Moton Brown, Andrew Brown, LepolenBrown, Sterlee Brown, Jimmie Lee Brown, and Westley Brown; sisters, Maggie Hamlet, Nancy Williams, Selina Jackson, Ruby Neal, Clara Bell Brown, Annie Givens, Lillie K. Davis, Leola Walker, and Rosa Williams. She is survived by her sons, Ronald C. Bright and wife, Patricia and Derwin K. Bright and fiance Margaret all of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Shawntae M. Thornton, Atlanta, GA, LaShawn and Quinton Campbell, Palmetto, FL, LaToshia Bright, Brandon, FL, LaToyia Godwin, Tampa, FL; great grandchildren, Zyreia and Zemetrick Larry, Atlanta, GA, Jayden Johnson, Palmetto, FL Makayla Campbell, and Jovan Campbell all from Palmetto, FL; a special daughter in law Cheryl Bright; brother in law, Pettis Bright, Monticello, FL. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins from the Brown, Bright, Smart, and Watts family and many dear friends.
