Alfonso Melvin Cole affectionately known as "Bo" was born on December 11, 1944, to the late Romeo A. and Menton L. Cole. On Saturday evening, January 13, 2024, his soul took flight on Angels' wings and went peacefully to join his father, mother, and three brothers, Romeo M., Jr., Thomas A., and Willie Roy Cole.

In his early life, he was an avid swimmer with perfected diving skills. He attended local schools in Hillsborough County, graduating from Brewster Night School. Among those who grieve his loss are his two children, Lyndon S. and Angela; grandchildren; brother, Ronnie; devoted and loving sister-in-law, Marion F. Cole; loyal and faithful nephew, Romeo M. III (Tonya); nieces, Twanda Cole Washington (Rodrick) and Cassandra Cole Balkman (Kenneth) all of Tampa, FL., Vyundra Cole of Maryland, and Keisha Cole Effiom (Vincent) of Kigali, Rwanda; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.

A special thank you to the staff of Concordia Village of Tampa Assisted Living for their kindness and for providing the best medical care to Alfonso during the last five years of his life.

His family will have a special celebration in honor of his life at a later date.
