Alfred, known by his middle name "Amos", was born on February 17, 1951, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Albert Lee and Allie Fair White.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elijah White and sisters, Velma Bailey, and Grace Davis.

He leaves precious memories with his son, Tavares White (Kristen); daughter, Kiefa White; grandchildren, Jayden Tavares White, Jordan Michael White, Ivey Samuel and Rodney Kier Russ; brother, Albert White II; sisters, Alene Lyles and Virgienell Miles; nieces, Bunny Benton, Jennifer Lyles, Vida Lyles, Fran Miller, Lillian Toles, Shani Smith, Jada Smith, Alexandra Frazier, DiTonya Bailey, Retevea Bailey-Spaulding, Cynthia Reid, Veronica Harris, Coretta Walker, and Yolanda White; special friend, Eartha Fisher, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
