A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Alice Carswell of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 will be held Saturday, April 6th, 2:00 p.m. at New Testament Worship Center, 5107 E. 32nd Ave., Pastor Deborah Comellas, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Alice Carswell was born January 24, 1943 in Montezuma, Georgia. She was a member of New Testament Worship Center. She enjoyed going to church, praying, shopping and dressing very nice. She was a God-fearing woman that put God first above everything. She was preceded in death by her parents, M.B. Martin and Laura Brown; step-mother, Christine Martin; brothers, Melvin James and Willie Martin; sisters, Carrie Trotman and Martha Sanders. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her husband, Charlie Carswell; children, Carolyn Davis, Deneilia Young, Clarence Young, Darron Carswell, Gregory Carswell, Stephanie Carswell and Pamela Carswell; god-daughter, Tammie Loray; grandchildren, Ashley E., Courtney M., Raneisha S., Robert S., Quanshae H., Larshae H., Demetria Y., Demetrius Y., Zavian Y., Lavardis H. Laquesha H., Kolbe C., Darron C. Jr., Sterling J. Sr., Lamont J., Adarius F., Jordan F., Dontorrio J., Tony D., Kelvin D. and Quintorrio D.; 46 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nissie Felton, Mary Hill, Roberta Scotland and Annette Smith; nieces, Laura O'Neal; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 5th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
