Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Alice Gladys Montgomery who passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015, will be held Saturday, May 9th, 11:00 a.m. at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church, 2101 Lowe Street, Rev. Dr. David W. Green, Sr. pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Alice Gladys Montgomery was born May 6, 1921 to the late Lindsey Williams and Pressie Lee Williams in Tampa, Florida. She was a member of Allen Temple AME Church and served as a stewardess for the Communion Board. Alice was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Julius Williams, David Williams and Clarence Williams and husband, Henry J. Montgomery. She leaves to cherish her memories with brother, Edward Williams, Tampa, FL; sisters, Marguerite Williams, Tampa, FL and Edith Williams, Plant City, FL; uncle, Clarence Brown, Washington, D.C.; nieces, Janice Williams (Reginald), Tampa, FL and Gale Williams, Melbourne, FL; nephews, Alvin Williams, Tampa, FL, Edward Williams, Melbourne, FL and Reginald Williams, Melbourne, FL; friend, George Donnell; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 8th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
