A homegoing celebration for Ms. Alicia Dannay James Hicks of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 will be held on Friday, October 5th, 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary SDA Church, 4902 N. 40th Street, Pastor Curtis B. Crider, officiating with Pastor Wesley Bruce, eulogist. The interment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Alicia was born in Houston, Texas on September 1, 1983 to the late Daniel Hicks and Cynthia James-Hicks. She was a member of Mt. Calvary SDA Church and First University SDA Church. She enjoyed crafting, singing, cooking and volunteering to help the elderly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Cynthia Hicks and grandfather, Alfonso James, Sr. She leaves to cherish her testimonies and loving memories with her brothers, Artist Hicks, Aldarrel Hicks and Aljerral Hicks; sisters, Alrene Hicks and Arlencia Hicks; grandmother, Althea James; aunt, Dr. Lorraine Stiggers; uncle, Jerome James; niece, Savannah Washington; cousins, Vicki, Shane, Ivory, Alleta and Valencia; friends, Alexis Reeves, Sonya Vickers, Mario Haldey, Unith Mansour, Tamara Rose, Abigail Awoniyi, Kenyardo Green and Cynthia Yvonne; surrogate moms, Indee Daniels and Mary Lewis and a host of other family members and friends. The visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary SDA Church. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Friday for the visitation and funeral service.
