A homegoing visitation for Ms. Allene Jackson Roberts of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 will be held Monday, August 14th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Pastor Alfonzo Broughton, officiant. Allene Jackson Roberts accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age. Allene was born July 17, 1950 in Cordele, Georgia to the late L.J. Crumbley and Pecolia Felton. Allene loved praying for people and encouraging them. She also enjoyed reading the bible and doing crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John L. Jackson; sisters, Lueverne Jackson, Earlene Bell Sermons and Lula Bell Jackson; uncles, Joseph, Willie, Richard, Herbert and Bobby Lee Miller. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her life-time friend, Ernest Roberts; children, Kelvin E. Roberts (Rieko) and Lakisha Roberts-Rodriguez (Adrian 'Chico'); grandchildren, Jasper D., Jasmine A. and Jewel M. Roberts, Nyjah K. and Amari Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Jasper Roberts, Jr. and Jayden H. Gillespie; brother, Lawrence Jackson (Sharon); aunts, Fannie Miller, Florence Green, Emma Lee Williams, Missouri Morgan and Easter Dawkins; nieces, Narita Green (Wade), Michelle Jones (Brian), Lisa Jackson, Bernadette Broughton (Siglenda), Shawanda Brown, Francina McAfee (Ceaph), Ronnette Brooks (Wil) and Marlisa Singleton; nephews, Elmer Jackson (Julia), Pastor Alfonzo Broughton (Pastor Joai), Dewann Hopkins (LaVeina), Honore Hopkins (Virgilena) and Robert Singleton; cousins, Celia Courtney, Betty Ann Smothers, Cora Harrell Jackson (Edward), Annie M., Ernest, Jr., Coriyn, Marlyin and Anthony Lockley; friends, Phillip Weekes (Helen), Addie Boyd, Lolita and Trice; and a host of relatives, cousins and friends. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Monday for the visitation.
