Alonzia, affectionately nicknamed, "Al", was born on December 24, 1943, in Tampa, Florida, to Leona Jones Treat. He enjoyed photography and spending time with his daughter, granddaughter, and great-grand puppy, Nick.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Daniels Giles; mother, Leona Jones Treat; sister, Inez Davis; grandmother, Marie Stribling; and brother-in-law, Allen Davis.

He leaves precious memories with his daughter, Charlotte Anita Giles Stanford; grandchild, Charde Quinnae Alexia Sylvester; nieces, Anita Dunlap, Alice Strong, Grace Davis, and Christine Merrick; nephews, Calvin Davis, Donald Merrick, and Mark Wilson; cousin, Willard Taylor, The Davis, Dessesseau, Merrick, Moore, Anderson and Jackson Families; special friends, Curley, Dave, Foley, Gary, Grayson, Raymond, Rick, and Ulysses; and a host of sorrowing relatives, friends, and classmates.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation and affection to Alonzia's in-home nurses Yanni and Yuni. We would also like to say Thank You to James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital for their extensive care and assistance to our loved one.
