Obituary

A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Alphanso Lightbody of Tampa, Florida who passed away on, Sunday, July 19, 2020 will be held Saturday, August 1, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Alphanso Lightbody was born on April 1, 1943 in St.James Parrish, Montego Bay, Jamaica. Alphanso traveled to New York City in 1984 for work.He did constructionwork for many years in the Tampa Bay area. He enjoyed cooking his island dishes with all his special herbs and spices. Listening to his Sunday morning praise and worship and reggae music.

He leaves behind hissons, Winston 'Paul' Lightbody Sr. (Tammy), Ian Lightbody (Claudette) of Tampa Florida,Rodney Lightbody Sr. (Cher'ie) of Atlanta, Georgia.; Richard Lightbody of Virginia; 8 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 1 great-granddaughter; a host of sorrowing family and friends. Alphanso will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, July 31st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends during the visitation. We are following the CDC guidelines.
