Mr. Alphonso was born September 23, 1950 in Tampa, Florida. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and the Job Corp in Burns Oregon. Al furthered his education at Portland State University and he later married Gwen Davis, from their union three children were born. They lived in Portland, Oregon and later moved to Fresno, California. He loved helping older people and often visited convalescence homes, reading, talking and ministering to them and anyone he saw in need. He visited many churches and was a member of the Holiness Church. Before he became ill he was employed with the Staff Management Gator Temporary Services as a supervisor and other jobs that he was proud to have. Al, as he was affectionately called, was a man who loved people and at an early age he accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He was a person that if you knew him, you would love him. He will be missed by his family and those who knew him.
