A Homegoing Memorial Celebration for Alton Bernard Shedrick Sr., of St. Petersburg, FL, who passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, will be held on Friday, August 4th, at 10:00 am at Revealing Truth Ministries, 5201 N Armenia Ave, Pastor Greg Powe, Jr., officiating. Alton was born on December 1, 1958, in St. Petersburg, Florida to the late Isaac Shedrick Sr. and the late Queen Delores Alexander. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool, football, basketball, baseball, and softball. He also enjoyed his time as a little league basketball coach and loved to bake and BBQ. He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted and loving wife, Sherell Shedrick; children, Alton Bernard Shedrick, Jr., Kandace Charnae Shedrick, and Jamarcus Jerrard Mitchell; grandchild, Kaiden Carter Rhynes; brothers, Jason Shedrick (Sheri) of St. Petersburg, FL, Isaac Shedrick, Jr. (Shani) of Reistertown, MD, and Antonio Alexander (Brenda) of Oklahoma City, OK; sisters, Katrina Thomas (Walter) of Port Tobacco, MD, Maria Price (David) of Largo, FL, Lillian Lloyd (Derrick) of Miami, FL, and Pamela Green (Darrell) of Miami, FL; uncles, Willis Alexander (Diana) of Oklahoma City, OK and Jerry Alexander, Sr. (Carrie) of Tampa, FL; aunts, Lenora Alexander of St. Petersburg, FL and Patricia Alexander of Atlanta, GA; brothers-in-law, Gary Mitchell of Tampa, FL, Alphonso Adams (Teresa) of Melbourne, FL, and Chris Mitchell of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Katherine Mitchell of Houston, TX; a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, including his favorite cousin, Kathy Holmes of St. Petersburg, FL. Although he will be greatly missed, he was too well-loved to ever be forgotten. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service on Friday.
