Homegoing service for Rev. Amos James, Jr. of Tampa, who passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015, will be held on Saturday, October 31st, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Amos James Jr., was born on October 26, 1939, in Tampa, Florida. He enjoyed home bible study and attended several churches for spiritual guidance. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Amos James Sr.; brother, Samuel James Sr.; sister, Ophelia Austrie. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his wife, Roxann James; children, Willie Brown, Lisa James, Chris James, Roxann Jones-Gebhart, Lavette Jones, Lanette Jones, Daniel Jones and Darrelle Jones; 20 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; mother, Clara Mae James; brothers, Joseph B. James, Solomon Carver James, Emanuel Daniel James and Carlton Felizah James; sisters, Ada Mae James, Clara Mae Daniels, Annie Mae James and Sarah Elizabeth Rodgers; sister-in-law; Beverly James; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.
