The service celebrating the life of Mr. Andrew Porter Lucas of Tampa, Florida, who passed away, Monday, February 6, 2012, will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012, 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd, Tampa, FL 33619, where the Dr. Sam Maxwell is the Senior Teaching Pastor and Officiate. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. A long-time resident of Tampa, FL, Mr. Lucas was a shrimper by trade. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 44 years, Evelyn Lucas; three daughters, Caretha (Eddie) Dawkins, Adridene (Willie) Kennedy and Brenda (Luis) Riascos; five sons, Andrew (Sherin) Lucas Jr., Clarence Marshall, Michael Bellamy, Harvey Linen, and Tamari Lucas; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; mother-in-law, Opal Butler; father-in-law, Ernest Butler (Georgia); two sisters-in-law, Sandra Lucas, and Mary Bellamy; brother-in-law, Robert Lee Jackson (Lillian) of Jacksonville, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and sorrowing friends. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral home on Friday, February 10th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
