Angelia Marie
Daniels
January 19, 1957 – March 22, 2022
"Angie" as she was affectionately called, was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County. After high school graduation, she furthered her education at Hillsborough Community College, where she received an Associate degree in Business Management. Angie was always a hard worker, so she worked during the day and attended school at night. She was employed by GTE (General Telephone Company) for many years. Angie then had a desire for further educational pursuits, and as a result, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Tampa. After such time, she developed a love for flowers, so she decided to attend Erwin Technical College to study floral design. As a result of this passion, Angie started her own floral business, Kreative Floral Designs. She created many beautiful pieces for individuals, local funeral homes, and various businesses throughout the city. Once she received a project, she would travel near and far to ensure that colors, dcor, and accents were all on point and perfected. Angie had a soft demeanor; however, her faith in and love for God were bold.
As a young child, she came to know Christ. Her foundation was rooted; she locked in, and she never let go of her zeal for God. She began working with the Children's Ministry in the 80s. She did this for over 30 years. Early in her ministry work, she founded the Tiny Tots Choir. Many of today's best singers and musicians received their start in this choir. She also headed several efforts and fundraisers with our young people, and many looked forward to these annual events, which grew exponentially. In addition to the Tiny Tots, she also played for some adult choirs throughout the years at New Friendship. We could always depend on her when a need arose.
As the first child born to Dr. & Sis Daniels, Angie was practically raised in the church. She was a familiar face among the Choir Unions, Campsite, Local Congresses, District Congresses, and Associations. She participated in the Jr. Women & WIA Auxiliaries of these organizations. In 2005 a need arose in our Education & Culture Center, and Angie then dropped her other professions and committed herself to the Center's growth, success, and excellence. She worked at the Center for over 15 years. During this time, Angie obtained a CDA, VPK Credentials, Director's Credentials, and other State and National certifications in the field. She was committed to all that she did. She was not satisfied with a 'getting by' mentality; she was intrinsically motivated to go above and beyond in anything she engaged. Many kids benefited from the loving and precise instruction that Angie provided. She was a vital part of the Center, and we were blessed to have had her on our staff.
Angie loved to bake, and she took much pride in the various creations that she shared with family/friends throughout the years. If she missed someone by chance rest assured that your little "package" would be waiting for you in authentic "Angie Style." Angie will be sorely missed; however, we find comfort in knowing that "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints" - Ps. 116:15.
She was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and brother, Chris Daniels. She leaves loving and cherished memories always and forever to: her parents, Rev. Dr. Hosie L. and Lady Jennie Daniels, brothers, Hosea Daniels, Jr. (Ardra), Keith Daniels (Daphyne), her only sister, Lady Tasnee D. Gardner (Rev. Dr. Kendrix). A host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, former Tiny Tots, children of the Center, and The New Friendship M.B. Church Family.
