Homegoing Service for Mrs. Annie Laura Davis-Neves of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday November 25, 2015 at Florida Hospital Tampa, will be held on Saturday, December 5th, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, Apostle Mark T. Jones, pastor of The Center for Manifestation Church, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Annie Laura Davis-Neves was born May 23, 1933 to the late John Henry Davis and the late Ruby J. Davis-Sinquefield in Fort Gaines, Georgia. She was one of twelve children, there were 3 boys and 9 girls. Mrs. Annie Laura Davis-Neves attended the schools of Clay County in Fort Gaines, Georgia. In 1954, she moved to Tampa Florida, accompanied by her late husband, Edmond Neves, Sr., this union emerged eight wonderful children. She was a devoted and loving housewife, who always put her family first. She played a very significant part in assisting with raising her grandchildren and a lot of children in her neighborhood of Highland Pines. She displayed love with each encounter you had with her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Neves, Sr.; sons, Lorenzo Neves, Edmond Neves, Jr. and Eddie James Neves; brothers, John Lorenzo Davis, and Willie Roberts; sisters, Mildred Jones, Retha Bell Johnson, Carolyn Wimberly, Christine Ward, Ruby Edwards, and Rosell Wallace; grandchild, Leonard Lee and great grandchild, Jadasia Sanders. Annie Laura leaves to cherish her sweet memories: four daughters, Veronica Harrell, Sylvia Joyce Neves, Vanessa Diane Neves, Joyce Ann Neves (William); one son, Johnny Lee Neves; one brother, Troy Davis (Joanne); two sisters, Willie Agnes Burton and Joanne Fair (Ronald); twelve grandchildren, Cresamthium Neves, Sabrina Harrell (Steve), Carlton Cord, Ricky Cord, Akilah Neves, William Louis Harrell, Anthony Neves, Antonio Williams. Jr., Antwaun Williams, Aaron Williams, Brittney Booth and Precious Brown; thirteen great grandchildren, Tavaris, Darrell, Jr., Delray, Dynasty, Shai, William, Jr., Michael, Marcus, Donell, Jer'zaryia, Denim, Anthony Jr., and Aaliyah; loving and devoted friends, Daintia Faye Miller-Patrick, William Golden, Joyce Mitchell, Inez Hughes and Paulette Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, December 4th from 5 to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
