A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Annie Rell Gilmore Fowler, of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday August 9,2019, will be held on Saturday, August 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Min. James Suttle, Sr., officiating with Bro. Ronnie Moorer, Sr., her son will be the eulogist. The interment will be held in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Annie Rell Gilmore Fowler was born on March 20, 1928 in Orangeburg, South Carolina to the late Orbia, Sr. and Cora Gilmore. She was a member of the Jesus House Church with her husband, James Fowler. Her favorite job was working at the Padgett Nursing Home, in Tampa, Florida. She enjoyed her knitting, crocheting and designing floral arrangements. Everybody loved her cooking and baking cakes. She had a special love for her entire family from her children to grandchildren to her nephews and nieces to the great grands. God had blessed her with longevity, a long life of 91 years. Until, she fell ill in June 2019, then passed away on August 9, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Fowler; daughter, Carol Ann Moorer; 2 sons, Sherman and Carnet Moorer; 2 brothers, Sam and William Gilmore; 4 sisters, Bernice Whitherspoon, Zuola Summers, Ruth Patrick and Alfred Robinson. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Ronnie L. Moorer, Sr., (Gloria), Amy Vanessa Moorer and Adrienne Jacobs (Robert); grandchildren, Ronnie Moorer, Jr., Nikki Castle (Eugene) and family all of Tampa, Florida; brother, Orbia 'Buster' Gilmore, Jr., Bowman, SC.; sister, Ethel Hall and family all of Jersey City, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Margie Gilmore; daughters-in-law, Geraldine Pierre and Cecil Moorer; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives that will miss her. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, August 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
