Homegoing services for Mrs. Annie Lee Jennings Godwin of 3505 E. Palifox Street., who passed away, Wednesday, October 21, 2009, will be held Saturday, October 31st, 2:00 p.m., College Hill Church of God In Christ, 6414 N. 30th Street, Elder Charles Davis, pastor, Archbishop Dr. David A. Jones, Pastor of Mountain Top International Ministries, Inc., is officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Godwin was born March 12, 1940, in Greenwood, Fl, to the late Robert A. Jennings and Roberta Bell Jennings. She was educated in the schools of Jackson County. She married Arthur Lee Godwin May 10, 1962. They lived in Lakeland, Fl and later moved to Tampa, Fl. Mrs. Annie Lee Godwin accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of True Vine, True Holiness Church, Bishop H.L. Simpson, Pastor. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Robert and Roberta Jennings, brothers, Frank Jennings and Robert Jennings. Mrs. Godwin leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, Arthur Lee Godwin, 5 daughters, Gwendolyn A. Godwin and Valerie M. Godwin of Tampa, Fl, Sharon J. Thornton (Joseph) of Wesley Chapel, FL, Gail L. Godwin and Angele Richardson (Ricky) of Tampa, FL, 2 Sons; Darryl G. Godwin and Arthur L. Godwin, Jr. (Erica) of Tampa, Fl; 12 grandchildren, Sherika Godwin, Myron Godwin, Jevonta Godwin, Alonzo Godwin Jr., James Fennie III, Amber Williams, all of Tampa, Fl, Kayla Thornton of Wesley Chapel,Fl, Arthur Godwin III, Asharee Godwin, Jaiquan Brown, Ricky Richardson Jr. and Nicki Richardson all of Tampa, Fl; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; John W. Jennings of Lakeland, Fl, Lee Davis Jennings (Betty) of Marianna, Fl, Roscoe Jennings (Thelma) of Panama City, Fl, and Willie Lee Jennings of Snead, FL, 2 sisters; Irisitne Howell and Ollie Alexander both of Lakeland, Fl, and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing relatives and friends. Special friends, Mother Hattie M. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley and Ella Hollowings, Mrs. Charlotte Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Milton and Helen Wade. The viewing for Mrs. Annie Godwin will be Friday, October 30, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friends and Family are asked to meet for the Homegoing service at 1:30 p.m. at the Church.
