Homegoing services for Mrs. Annie Ruth Jones of 1102 North Alexander Ave., who passed away, Saturday, September 25, 2010, will be held Saturday, October 2nd, 2:00 p.m., Aikens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Jones was born February 5, 1941 in Bainbridge, Georgia. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and making people laugh. She was preceded in death by her parents; Lorthlee Harris and Vernon Screen and son, Willie James Benton. She leaves to cherish her memories, husband, Earl Jones of Tampa; children, Marsha Jackson of Lakeland, Fl, Ernest Jackson of Rochester, NY and Andre Benton of Rochester, NY; son-in-law, Kim Thompson of Lakeland and daughter-in-law, Isa Benton of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Jasmine Jackson, Andre Benton Jr., Andrea Benton, Ernest Jackson, Jr., Sade Benton, Aaron Benton and Mary Benton; brothers, Eddie Joe Harris, Rochester, NY, Victor Royal of Tennille, GA and Andrew Henry of Rochester, NY; devoted friends, Fran Tucker, Latisha Williams and Barbara and Jack Gonzalez. The viewing will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 1st from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m.
