Obituary

A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Annie Mae Shaw of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday June 4, 2017 will be held on Saturday, June 10th, 2:00 p.m. at 34th Street Church of God, 3000 N. 34th Street, Tampa, FL 33605 Rev. Thomas Scott, pastor with Overseer Loretta Ellison, officiating. Annie Shaw, the daughter of York and Alberta Green, was born on August 13, 1929. Annie Mae attended public schools in the Tampa area. She confessed Christ as her personal Savior and she was a dedicated and loyal member of New Zion Temple Holiness Church. She was the General Mother of the New Zion Temple Holiness Church Association and served in this position up to her death. she enjoyed going to Yard Sales and having bake sales. Annie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Shaw; her children, Lillian Terry, Dan Shaw, Jr., Ed Michael Shaw and Alonzo House; granddaughters, Sandra and Maydell House; parents, York and Alberta Green and siblings Rosetta, York, James, Edward, Herman and Jerry Green. She leaves to mourn her passing 4 daughters, Diann House (Sam), Theresa Perry (Cecil) of Avon Park, Margaret Shaw and Sophia Underwood (Greg); 2 sons, Charlie Shaw (Meiko), Otis House (Belinda); god-children, Sis Bert Godwin and Jarvis Ford; grandchildren, Gwendolyn Denson (Will), Ioanina Duncan (Curly), Charles Simmons Jr (Keyiuna), Jasmine Pettis (Jimmy), Ed Michael Shaw Jr (Ruby), Ebony Shaw, Mikeshia Shaw, Akil Shaw, Otisha House, Keionne House, Charlie Shaw Jr, Sierra Crews, Courtney Canady, Jarvis Crews, Barbara Collins (Earl), Cecil Perry, Johnny Perry (Tiffany), Tyrone Perry (Lelia) and Willie Perry (Evelyn) all of Avon Park; great-grandchildren, Tyrone, Daunte, Gregory, Demetrius, Tierra, Ashley, Jzalea, Cedric, Eric, Eriasius, Erica, Qquani, Qquantel, Simaya, Jacquez, Charles III, Chanel, Chayse, Jimmie III, Jeh'miel, Jah'me, Erykah, Antwanesha, Antwan, Mikia, Mikyra, Ed III, Yasmine, Jalen and Javontae, Edquanesha, and Edward; and a host of great-great-grandchildren for a grand total of 80 family members; 4 sisters, Vena Hammon, Margaret Jones, Gloria Jean Scott and Rebbie Jacobs (Charles) of Villa Rica, GA.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; best friends, Ms. Brown, Mtr. Amanda Barnes, Barbara Mims, Mike and Joe Brocatos, Mtr. Dean Pough, Sis. Emma Lyons, Sis. Georgia Perry and Sis. Carrie Halls. The visitation will be held on Friday, June 9th from 5 to 7 p.m. at New Zion Temple Holiness Church, 821 E. Flora Street. The family and friends are asked to meet at 34th Street Church of God Tampa, FL 33605 on Saturday for the service.
