Obituary

Annie was born on August 27, 1925, in Orlando, Florida. She graduated from Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg before relocating to Tampa. She dedicated over 15 years of service as a secretary at the Tampa Housing Authority, exemplifying commitment and hard work. Annie was also a proud member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Clifford Williams II;  son, John Clifford Williams III; parents, Mr. George and Iris Praetto Stephens; siblings, Sonny Stephens, Samuel Stephens, Ruth Powell, and Ella Mae Stephens; and son-in-law, Eugene Harrell.

Annie leaves behind cherished memories with her two daughters, Sarah Lorrine Williams Harrell and Valentine Hendrix (Toby); eight grandchildren, Carlos Williams, Tydell Williams (Candi), Arlanders Alford (Cherise), Utara Lewis (Joe), Tasha King (Melvin), Vicknesia Davis (Jermaine), Cecilia Godwin (Jevonta), and Jacquie Overstreet; and twenty great-grandchildren, Trayshawn Williams, Arlandryia Alford, Zeniah Anthony, Arlexus Gordon, Emvory Burton, Bryce King, Damarion Hall, Joecever Lewis, Malachi Fowler, James Jackson, La'Vonya Green, Chrisdilyn Mitchell, Christopher Mitchell, Kennedi Davis, Deion Williams, Dior Godwin, DeAndre Reedy, Marquise Williams, Taniya Gross, and Janae Lofton. She is also mourned by twelve nieces, Ann Bennett, Constance McCants, Velma Stephens, Catherine Clark, Angela Clark, Leim Clark, Evelyn Bell, Anna Young, Clara Young, Betty Stephens, Geraldine Stephens, and Linda Mae; and nine nephews, Gregory Stevens, Kenneth Stephens, Alfonso Harold Stephens, Jr., Antonio Clark, Christopher Clark, Sam Stephens, Jr., Bruce Stephens, David Clark, and Glen Powell. Additionally, she leaves behind her cousin, Shelia Palmore and family, along with a host of other loving relatives and friends. Annie's spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
