Obituary

Mrs. Annie Lois Wynn was born on October 19, 1940 in Waverly, Alabama, to the late Woodrow DeVance and Zular Mae Rowell-Simmons. Lois received her education at Lee County Training School in Auburn, Alabama, and graduated from Middleton Senior High School on June 12, 1961. She was united in wedlock with Fred Wynn on November 29 1962. To this union two sons and three daughters were born. She was employed and retired from Hillsborough County Public Schools after 30 years as a School Food Service Manager; during that time, she was nominated Support-Employee-of-the-Year on numerous occasions. She was known for her warm smile, caring, supportive and generous spirit. She possessed a quiet, humble spirit and was well loved by those who knew her. She enjoyed reading, arts and crafts, sewing, hat-making, cooking and gardening. Prior to becoming ill, she was an active member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she participated in several auxiliaries including the Choir, Usher Board and Senior Mission. She confessed Christ at the early age of 14. She is preceded in death by her father, Woodrow DeVance; mother, Zular Mae Simmons; stepfather, Charlie Simmons; brother Bobby DeVance; uncle Bruce Rowell; and aunt, Hurtis Rowell. She leaves to mourn a loving and devoted husband, Fred Wynn; three daughters, Sonya Wynn Williams (Arthur), Althea M. Wynn and Enga Wynn; two sons, Marquis Wynn (Bertha), and Fred L. Wynn; stepson, Cornell Gilbert and wife; six grandchildren, Raeneisha McDaniels, Gregory Law Jr., of Iraq, Marquisha Wynn, Donald Dowridge III, Phyteri and Fred L. Wynn III; two great grandchildren, ShaMarae Lois McDaniels and Jaiden Izaiah Law; one sister, Lettie Jones (Rev. Johnny); three brothers, Jewel Atkins (Jeanette) and Melvin DeVance of Connecticut and Bobby DeVance, Birmingham, Alabama; one step-brother, Charlie Simmons, Jr. (Cheryl) of San Bernandino, California; one goddaughter, Regina Depass (Anthony); niece, Tia Brown (Everett); two brothers-in-law, Frazier Wynn (Geraldine) of Marianna, Florida, and Frank Wynn; four sisters-in-law, Angeline Russ, Queen Holden, Laverne Holden and Aletha White of Marianna, Florida; uncle Rev. Ned and Lula Bell Wynn and family of St. Petersburg, Florida; cousins, Brucie Mae Brown, Ellen Taliferrro, Orine Black, Mary Hudson, Dorothy Burgess (James) and Clara Rosado of Auburn, Alabama, W.T. Rowell, Christine Reed of Apopka, Florida, Lillie Reed, Las Vegas, Nevada, Carrie Webb, Betty Govan, Mary Dingle, Martha Hickson, Fred Dixon, Johnny Fred Dixon, Martha Ming and Raymond, Clarence Holden (Mildred) and Enoch Williams and wife; special friends, Mr. & Mrs. Lenton (Mary) Douglas and family, Mr. & Mrs. William (Ira) Ellison and family; Mrs. Mary Sue Allen, Mrs. Lula Powell, Mrs. Irene Meteye, Mr. & Mrs. R.D.
