Anthony Mitchell was born on August 12, 1954, in Tampa, Florida. He was raised in a loving community and began attending First Baptist Church of College Hill as a little boy, where he built a strong spiritual foundation and lifelong relationships. Anthony enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and was especially fond of fishing and bowling. Whether spending quiet time by the water or sharing laughter with family and friends at the bowling alley, he found joy in the moments that brought people together.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blondie Mitchell; brother, David Mitchell, Jr.; sister, Emma Mitchell; father, David Mitchell, Sr.; and stepson, Barry Keaton.
He leaves cherished memories to his mother, Doreatha Mitchell (Earl Grace); significant other, Geraldine Keaton; brothers, James McDowell (Judy), Gregory McDowell (Louise), Reginald Houston (Adrianne), Earl Grace, Jr. (Wanda), Seigfred Grace and Demetrius Hamilton; sisters, Mechell Mitchell, Cynthia Mitchell Wright, Candis Williams (James), Regina Bowers (Herbert), Pamela Mitchell, Davon Mitchell, Andrea Mitchell, Telecia Mitchell and Pretiece Worthy; nieces, Salisa Mitchell, Teisha Mitchell, Crystal McDowell, Marie Houston, Renita Houston and Brittany Houston; nieces, Tamara Bowers, Toccara White, Shanta Owens and Luvenia Mitchell; nephews, Toriano McDowell, Damien Owens, Joseph Baker, Jermaine McDowell, David Mitchell, Seigfred Grace, Bobby Jackson, Vincent Booth, Angelo Owens and Jermaine Anderson; cousins, Larry Watkins, Sally Jones, Johnny Williams, Trudy Hadley and Joann Hadley, both of Thomasville, GA; stepchildren, Veronica Marshall, Latasha Marshall, Jerry Beckwith and Jamal Keaton; best friend, Rev.
