Mr. Anthony D'wayne Myrick, Sr. "Big Amp" A homegoing Celebration for Mr. Anthony D'Wayne Myrick, Sr. "Big Amp" of 4614 Shad Street, who passed away Friday, January 2, 2009, will be held Saturday, January 10th, 3:00 p.m., St. John Progressive M.B. Church, 2504 E. Chipco Ave., Rev. Bartholomew Banks, pastor officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Anthony was born March 23, 1971 in Tampa, Florida and attended Hillsborough County Public Schools, Greco Middle and King High School. As a youth he enjoyed playing baseball with the Yellow Jackets Cubs. Anthony was preceded in death by his grandmother, Linnie B. Myrick. He leaves to cherish loving memories with: his loving parents, Thomas and Mary Gilliard, Jr.; 1 brother, Thomas Leo Gilliard (Shemika), Atlanta, GA; fiancAC.e, Tammi Keels; daughters, Sierra Myrick, Cherish McNeal, Sade McLendon, Savyon Toombs and Myesha Jones; sons, Anthony Myrick, Jr. and Chris Castro; 1 granddaughter, Shani Lawrence; grandfather, Richmond Myrick, Sr.; aunt, Priscilla Keith, Lakeland, FL; uncles, Richmond Myrick, Jr. (Stephania) Laurel, MD, John Gilliard (Evelyn), Atlanta, GA; 5 great uncles, Willie Williams (Carrie) Detroit, MI, Leroy and Arthur Williams, Lake Wales, FL, Horace and Earnest Williams, Marianna, FL; 3 great aunts, Coretha Bogier (Bishop Lawrence) Goldboro, NC, Martha Peterson, and husband, Annie Baker (Arthur), Marianna, FL; niece, Jackie Gilliard, Atlanta, GA; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening. The funeral cortege will arrange from 4614 Shad Street.
