Celebration of Life service for Mr. Anthony DeWayne Scott of Tampa, who passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 2:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 East Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Pastor Darryl Scott, eulogist. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Scott was born August 19, 1966 in Pensacola, Florida. He grew up in Tampa and was educated in the catholic schools of Hillsborough County and graduated from St. Peter Claver Elementary School, Sacred Heart Middle School and Tampa Catholic High School, class of 1984. Also, he attended Hillsborough Community College and Clark Atlanta University. He was raised and served as an altar boy at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church for many years. Anthony worked in the security service field and was an avid sports enthusiast. His favorite teams were the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Rays. Anthony will be missed by his family: mother, Earlean Thomas Scott of Atlanta, GA; father, Arthur Scott (Lois) of Tallahassee, FL; sister, Deborah Scott Webb (Alonzo) of Atlanta, GA; brother, Darryl Scott (Sandra) of Atlanta, GA; half-brother, Kevin Scott (Jereia) of San Antonio, TX; half-sister, Belinda Scott of St. Petersburg, FL; nephew, Darryl Maurice Scott; niece, Rachel Scott; and a host of other nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 25th, from 5-8 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
