A homegoing celebration for Mr. Anthony R. Wilborn of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 will be held Saturday, September 30th, 11:00 a.m. at New Progress Missionary Baptist Church, 3307 E. Shadowlawn Ave, Rev. Vernon Young officiating. The internment will be in Orange Hill Cemetery. Anthony Riccardo "Ricky" Wilborn was born October 30, 1958 in Tampa, Florida, to Willie James and Gertrude (Breedlove) Wilborn. His education began at Philip Shore Elementary School and continued through Booker T. Washington Junior High School and Robinson Senior High School. He worked at various jobs in warehouse positions in Rantoul, IL, Fort Worth and Dallas Texas, MacDill AFB, FL, and in and around Tampa, FL for many years. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jessie (Annie Mae) Byrd, and Levi Breedlove, uncle, James Wilborn, aunt, Molly Johnson, cousins, Ray Anthony Barnes, Wanda Tarver, Gregory Green and Willie C Walker. Anthony left his cherished and fond memories with his parents, Willie and Gertrude (Breedlove) Wilborn; sisters, Yolanda, Valerye, and Mae Wilborn; brother, Darryl Wilborn; uncles, Levi Breedlove Jr. (Trudy) of Malone, FL and Robert Wilborn of Waldorf, Maryland; aunts, Lillie Milbry, Artrye Green (Prince), Mattie Tarver (Willie) of Chicago, IL, Annie Graham of Detroit, MI, and Emma McNabb of Akron, OH; niece, Euonia (Nikki Wilborn) Brown (Byron) of Tampa, FL; great nephews, Byron and Brandon Brown of St. Petersburg, FL; great niece, Abryah Brown of Tampa, FL and a very special niece, Lyrik Courtney of Decatur, Georgia; cousins, Myra, Cheryl, Reginald and Pamela Milbry of Tampa, FL, Gail Tarver of Chicago, IL, Charlie Floyd (Cheryl) of Tampa, FL, William Jackson, Fredrick, Sedrick, Timothy and Deidra Green all of Tampa, FL, Cynthia Breedlove of Chicago, IL, Eric Breedlove of Irving, TX and Rev. Kevin Breedlove of Mobile, AL; a close and special cousin, Micheal Jackson of New York; and a host of other cousins, and many friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
