A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Anthony Henry Wilson will be held on Saturday, December 11th, 11:00 a.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd, Bishop Ruben Sledge, officiating. Anthony Henry Wilson transitioned to his heavenly home on November 23, 2021. He was born on July 2, 1974, to William and Rebecca Wilson, in Tampa, Florida.
He was a graduate of C. Leon King High School, class of 1992. Tony gave his life to Christ in September 2015; he was a faithful member of Community Holiness Church in Tampa. Tony was a loving and wonderful husband, father, son, and brother. Tony was a sports fanatic! He started playing soccer (Black Watch) in his early childhood at the age of 5 and continued until he was 18. He was mentioned in Sports Illustrated for his soccer skills and excellence. He loved watching football (Miami Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Bucs), basketball (San Antonio Spurs), hockey (Tampa Bay Lighting), baseball (New York Mets and Tampa Bay Rays), and Nascar (#9 Bill Elliot and Casey Khane). He found a true passion for golf and loved to play every Saturday with his best friend Richard Robinson. He was the Director of Distribution for Pride Mobility Products Corporation where he worked for the past 21 years. He really loved dogs.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father, William H. Wilson; stepfather, George McGowan; and stepdaughter, Melody C. Walker.
He leaves cherished memories with his wife, LaShann R. Wilson; daughters, Jazmyne C. Wilson and Taylor Wilson; stepson, Darius J. Walker (Megan); stepdaughter, Jamee R. Walker; grandchildren, A'Shanee R. Allen, Aubrey A. Walker, and Alexis Davis; mother, Rebecca McGowan; sisters, Andrea Blake (Anthony), Jennifer Williams (Kevin); brother-in-law, Ruben Sledge, II; sisters-in-law, Alycia Parker (Andrew), Sheena Walton, and Keeli Henry; aunt, Catherin Phillips; uncles, Earl Forbes and Everett Johnson; nieces, Danielle Blake and Nevaeh Williams; nephews, Cristopher Blake, Brian Blake, Deshane Blake, Zachariah Fleming; a host of cousins; best friend, Richard Robinson; father-in-law/pastor, Bishop Ruben J. Sledge; mother-in-law, Beverly A. Sledge; childhood friend, Perry Harvey Jr.; work family, Pride Mobility Products Corporation.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, December 10th, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service. We are following CDC guidelines.
