April was born on April 1, 1968, in Tampa, Florida to the late James Walter Davis, Sr., and Martha Lee Davis. She was the youngest of nine siblings which earned her the name "baby sister". She was educated in the Hillsborough County School system. She was a retail worker and then later pursued entrepreneurship. She was a hairstylist for many years and made jewelry. She was a loving mother and grandmother to 5 children and 14 grandchildren. April was a kind and outgoing woman, and a pillar in the community.
April started a candy selling business to keep children in the community out of trouble. She was known to be an amazing mother, sister, and friend to those who needed her. She was big-hearted, genuine, and giving to all. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing card games, dominoes, and being around friends. In her free time, she loved shopping and cooking. April was an intelligent and talented woman. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and make jokes. She was a great listener and loved to talk to people. She was a person you could count on and would make time for those she loved. She was a believer in Christ and loved the Lord. April praised God and even in her last days leaned and depended on God and his promise.
April was preceded in death by her parents, James Walter Davis, Sr., and Martha Lee Davis ; sister, Juanita E. Davis and brothe,r James Walter Davis. Jr., April leaves behind cherished memories to her children; Kurvey Davis, Ashley Owens, Michael Owens, Ranessia Riggins, and Randashia Riggins; grandchildren, Zaniya, Tar'Nessia, Zavion,Tavares, Londyn, Reginae, Reginald, Un'nesti, Carlos, Lauren, Kurvey, Jr., Messiah, and Michael; brothers,Steve (Debra),Ronald Davis, Daryl Davis, Kenocer Davis, and Norris Davis and sister, Sylvia Walker.
