On February 8, 1980, April Latrice Green Damen was born to the late Brenda Grant and James Green in Tampa, Florida. April accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior as a young child and knew to keep God first. She was part of the graduating class of 1998 at H. B. Plant High School and a proud member of the marching band. April was committed to her family and for years she worked tirelessly to unite the generations and keep the family connected. Mrs. Damen was a supporter of everyone and was always there for her friends and family. All who knew April knew of the special bond she and Rodrick shared. She had a passion for dancing and loved her Lifetime movies. On the morning of April 23, 2024, April transcended with the angels to heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Monique Baity and Sheila Green; grandparents, Clarence Baity, Sr. and Mosley Clark; aunts, Ann Martin and Clarice Green; and uncle, Clarence Baity, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Torrey Damen, Sr.; children, Tylaia Damen, Torrick Damen, and Torrence Damen; grandson, Rodrick Morris; brothers, Rodrick Southers and James Green, Jr. (Patricia); sisters, Kailaia Grant, Debbie Green and Kimberly Green; aunts, Janice Clark, Gailer Baity, Vena Hammond, Margaret Jones, Gloria Crosby, and Cynthia Murray; niece and nephew, Aniya Campbell and Kamar Ashley; godmother, Debra Jackson; godbrother, Reginald Mungin; god sisters, Sharonda Pedroso, Kendra Jackson, and Kenedra Jackson; special cousins; Calandra Fordham, Constance Evans, Desirae Bradford, and Ashanta Sheafe; close friends, Tiffany Torregiante and Rebecca Parker, and a host of loving family and friends.
