April was born in Tampa, FL on March 25, 1972 to the late Robert Butler and Beulah Mae Teel. A life-long resident of Tampa, she attended Oak Park Elementary, McClaine Middle School, and graduated from Tampa Bay Tech, class of 1989. She was a beloved member of the Highland Pines and Grant Park communities and a dedicated employee of Hillsborough County, Solid Waste Department. April cherished spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Joseph Thomas Teel and Elouise Priester-Teel; aunts, Gloria Teel and Ada Teel-Hall; uncles, Johnny Teel, Sr. and Charles Allen; grand-uncle, Brooks Priester; cousin, Jennifer Charles; and sister, Ada Grimes.

April leaves behind cherished memories with her children, Aviance Arnold and Qua'Shawun Teel-Booker; grandchildren, Aviyonna Blanco and Avion Robinson; brother, Christopher Jones; sister, La'Ronica Holton; nephews, Devin Champion (Breonna), Devon Champion (Tierra), and Devion Holton Hull; nieces, Dai'Shawn and De'Shawn Franklin; grandnephews, Devion Jr., Devin Jr., and Courey Jr.; grandnieces, Amillyon, Xarie, Devine, and Zalia; uncles, Ezekial Priester (Doris) of Beaufort, SC, Nathaniel Teel, and Aaron Teel; aunts, Mary Brown (James) of New York and Lula Teel; and a host of cousins, including Brenda Washington-Thomas (Coopie), Lois Gordon (Omar), Katrina Stanley, Megan Charles (Jerell), Carra Ware, Vivian Moore (Lamont), Twynetta Booze, Leslie Scott (Rudy), and Sabrina Teel. She is also survived by extended family members Edward Pope (Reva Iman), Nathaniel Pope, Johnny Teel Jr., Julius Thompson, Tony Teel, Michael Stuart (Tina), Louis Teel, Nathaniel Teel, Nathan Teel, Jamarus Thomas, Ted Washington, Ricky Scott, Joseph Teel, and John Teel. April's dearest friends, including Lisa Gaines, Lashonda Gaines, Pamela Callaway, Tosha Montgomery, Bridgette Vann, Nikosha Fletcher, along with her Hillsborough County family -will forever hold her memory in their hearts. She also leaves behind a loving extended family in New York, South Carolina, and Georgia including the Bartons, Grimes, Andersons, and Priesters.
