Archie Lee
Dawkins
October 19, 1961 – February 1, 2022
Mr. Archie Dawkins was born in Eufaula, AL, and relocated to Tampa, FL at the age of four. He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and graduated from Robinson High School in 1979. Upon graduating, he served in the United States Air Force for 5 years, receiving an Honorable Discharge.
Archie accepted Christ at an early age and grew up attending Peace Progressive M.B. Church. He was a loving person that thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and rooting for his beloved Buccaneers. You would probably never meet a bigger fan than him. Archie was also the funniest person "HE" knew, as he would often laugh harder at his own jokes than anyone else. He really enjoyed having fun and could often be caught flashing the biggest smile youd ever seen (sometimes it would even be accompanied by a mean Prep Dance). He was an avid reader and could be deemed a walking encyclopedia as he exhibited a plethora of information. Archie was one of a kind and will truly be missed.
Mr. Dawkins was preceded in death by his father, Eli Dawkins, Sr.; mother, Adell Dawkins; son, Derrick Frazier; brothers, Elijah, Willie, Billy, & Johnny Dawkins; and sister, Martha Dawkins White.
Archie leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Alveda Dawkins; devoted daughter, Alicia Taylor (Charles); dear son, Vashon Washington; treasured grandchildren, TreShawn Taylor, Jasmene Taylor, Shontell Washington, Fregionna Fagan, Makyea Smart, Vashon Washington, Jr., Vaquavien Washington, Tywohn Patrick; sisters, Mildred Wingate, Gloria Jones; sisters-in-law, Betty Dawkins, Joyce Dawkins, Sharon Houston, Carla Richards, Javonda Smith; brothers-in-law, Reginald Jones, Earnest Richards, Jr. (Cheryl), Alonzo Richards (Berthina), Charles Richards (Lashon), Harold Richards (Evalyn), Cedric Washington, Juan Washington, Wallace Washington, Antanorris Richards, Reginald Armstrong, Stargil Washington, Willie Washington, Jr.; 13 great-grandchildren; Special friends, Rodney Williams, Michael Coonce, Willie Buchanon, Earl Bedford, & Darryl Wilborn; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, & extended family.
