Obituary

Mr. Argelio Efren Rodriguez, Sr. was born on February 1, 1934, in Cuba, to Andres Rodriguez and Esther Morejon. From a young age, he embodied the values of kindness, generosity, and selflessness that would define his life. He was a gentle soul whose presence brought comfort and reassurance to those around him. Mr. Rodriguez had a deep love for sports, especially baseball, and rarely missed the opportunity to watch a game. He was a loyal fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Tampa Bay Rays, following them with great enthusiasm. In his leisure time, he found joy in playing dominoes, a pastime that brought laughter and connection with family and friends. He also loved cooking, often expressing his love through meals prepared with care and pride. Above all else, Mr. Rodriguez was a devoted family man. He was hardworking, dependable, and deeply committed to providing for his loved ones. His strength, dedication, and quiet sacrifices never went unnoticed. He led by example, teaching the importance of perseverance, humility, and love through his actions rather than words.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres Rodriguez, Esther Morejon; wife, Hilda Delgado de Rodriguez; and brother, Pedro Jose Antonio Rodriguez.

He leaves cherished memories to his sons, Argelio Efren Rodriguez, Jr. and Francisco Eliseo Rodriguez (Tampa, FL); daughter, Hilda Ester Lloyd (Tom Campbell Lloyd) of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Lauren Sofia Lloyd, Christian Anne Lloyd, Jonathan Eliseo Rodriguez-Connelly, Max Riley Rodriguez, and Layla Chey Rodriguez; brother, Omelio Jesus Rodriguez (Miami, FL); sisters, Carmen Justa Garcia and Maria Teresa Massa (Tampa, FL); along with a host of nieces and nephews.
