Homegoing service for Mrs. Arleen W. Scott Bogan of Tampa, who passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 will be held Friday, April 17th, 1:00 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. MLK Jr. Blvd. Rev. Horace Canton, officiating. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery. Arleen Scott Bogan was born July 6, 1936 in the Grand Cayman Islands to the late Austin A. Scott and Vina V. Ebanks. Arleen enjoyed knitting, playing cards and bowling. She was the owner and operator of Bogan's Boarding Home for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bogan, Sr.; sons, Osmond, Sr. and Stanley Dilbert; sister, Barbara Scott; uncles, Samuel Lance Ford and Septi Moore. She leaves to cherish her memories with children, Wayne J. Dilbert and Robert Don Bogan; grandchildren, Kristian Dilbert, Osmond Dilbert, Jr., Nicholas Dilbert, Sedrick Reese and Bonita Anderson; great grandchildren, Jaszmine Gaynor, Nylah Dilbert and Arieauna Gaynor; brothers, Austin Scott, Jr. and Arthur Scott, Sr.; aunts, Viola Scott Brown, Dean Brown, Theda Bodden and Gwen Hayes; grandson-in-law, Gerald Gaynor; nieces, Carol Andrea Scott, Zoey Peart and Kenya Peart; nephew, Arthur Scott, Jr.; many cousins including, Pauline and Stella Yates; daughter-in-law, Cathy Norman Dilbert; best friend for over 40 years, Ruth Neal; devoted neighbor and friend, Nathaniel Johnson, godchildren, Joyce, Tony, Ivan, Mary, Trent and Michael Ware; friends, Georgia Owens and Larry Edwards; friends of the family, the Norman family, Mary Strange, Rochelle Gowins, Grover, Leroy and Vincent Strange and Evelyn Allen; and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday. The family will receive friends at St. John Progressive M.B. Church Christian Life Center, 3504 E. Chipco St. after the service.
