Arthur Jenkins, Sr. was born in Greenwood, Florida on October 28, 1937 to the union of the late Henry Jenkins and Fannie Sims Jenkins. He accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Marianna High School. Arthur was united in holy matrimony on June 30, 1957 to Evelyn Hearn Jenkins and together they had two children, Arthur Jenkins, Jr. and Cynthia Jenkins. He retired from Roadway Express after 31 years of service. He was the Job Stewart and member of Teamster Union, local 79. Arthur was a member of New Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Fannie Jenkins, brothers, Joseph, Andrew and Nathaniel Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins leaves precious memories to be cherished with his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Evelyn Jenkins; 2 children, Arthur Jenkins and Cynthia Jenkins, of Tampa, FL; sisters, Sallie Jenkins, Greenwood, FL; goddaughter, Taylor Wilson, Tampa, FL; aunt, Callie Sims, Greenwood, FL; brothers-in-law, Oscar (Minnie) Hearn and James (Maxine) Hearn of Tampa, FL; sisters-in-law, Bettye Hearn and Oletha Hearn Lawson of Tampa, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
