The Homegoing Celebration for Aujonae Auriana Nicole Betts, of Tampa who passed away on August 7, 2009, will be held Saturday August 15, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at New First Union M. B. Church, 3707 E. Chelsea Ave, Tampa, FL 33610, where Rev. Bruce E. Hammon, Sr., is the Pastor. Pastor Brenda Fruster of Kingdom Worship Center, officiating. Interment will be Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery. Aujonae was born December 7, 1995 to Terrance and Jessie Betts. Aujonae was an honor roll student at Carl Sagan Academy. Her hobbies were watching television, playing board games and cooking for her family. Her musical interest were playing the violin and singing with her family group, The Wilson family phase II. She was an active member of Kingdom Worship Center, where she also sang in the choir at her local church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myra & Rufus Williamson, great grandparents Coleman and Evangelist Jessie M. Wilson, John and Alberta Rosher, and Henry Betts. She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted parents, Terrance and Jessie Betts; siblings, Jermane Wheeler, Auriel Betts and Auterya Betts; grandparents, Ward and (Christine) Hall and Carl (Sylvia) Betts; great grandmother, Florence Betts; godparents, Eustace (Karen) Ferdinand and Dr's, Thomas (Claudia) Dozier; aunts, Janice (Patrick) Lewis, Jacquelyn (Louis) Barnes and Carla Betts; uncles, Jeffrey M. Hobbs, Jerry (Deneen) Williamson, Joseph Hall, Ward (Linda) Hall, Diamante (Sherri) Hall and Bill (Kirstin) Betts, with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other grieving family and friends. The remains will repose at Aikens Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the services.
