Austin "Longman" Savage, Sr., was born on June 13, 1946, in Mount Vernon, St. Thomas, Jamaica. He attended local schools and graduated. Austin retired from Nelson Construction in Palm Harbor after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a loving and devoted husband to Sara Savage for 40 wonderful years.  Austin "Longman" Savage will be lovingly remembered for the many friends who would stop by to play dominoes and listen to reggae music with him. He will also be remembered for his joyful spirit and his huge birthday celebrations, which brought together family and friends in love and laughter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Savage; and three stepchildren, Priscilla Gay, Willie Smiley and Gloria Smiley.

He leaves cherished memories to his devoted wife of 40 years, Sara Savage; godson, Allen Hawthorne; goddaughters, Nikki and Nyla Mitchell; bonus children, Rose Smiley, Mary Byrd (Pastor Byrd) and Anthony Smiley; brothers, Lloyd Savage (Patricia), Dwight Francis and Sherlock Earl; sisters, Velma Francis, Claudette, Lillian Walters (Michael); special nephew, Robert Savage; special niece, Jen and husband; niece and nephew, Michelle and Michael; special friends to name a few, Lloyd, Roach, Mr. Virgo, Cockrite, Chicken, Benzman, Mr. Red. Frank and Michelle, and Poppa Harmony; along with a host of grandchildren, extended family and friends.
