Avery was born on October 20, 1959, to Patricia Denmark. Avery worked hard and loved to eat, party and enjoy life.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Denmark Becklum; brothers, Leonard Davis, Patrick Davis, and Samuel Davis; nephews, Frederick White, Patrick Ashwood, Colon Davis, and Patrick Gelette and niece, Gloria McNair.

He leaves precious memories with his sisters, Rev. Gloria Asbury Townsend Hinds Jiles, Cynthia Becklum Mann, Gwendolyn Becklum Taylor, and Mildren Dian Becklum; nieces, Yvonne Tilman-Waters, Freticia Davis, Shakila Russell, Latonia Slaton, Equilla Melton Thompson (Tony) and devoted niece, Jennifer Russell; nephews, Warren M. Mann, Jr.(Annika), Troy V. Davis, Vernon L. Davis, Oshad Russell, Torris Russell, Bobby Hicks, Prophet David White, Krestal Johnson, Fred White, Kristopher Townsend, Gary White, Stanley Hall, Anthony White, Antwon White; and a host of sorrowful relatives and friends. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday for the service.
