A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Barbara Curry of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 12:00 p.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Rev. W.D. Sims Pastor of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Barbara was born on July 13, 1938 in Tampa, Florida to the late Wallace Gus Bryant and Charity Rucker. Aside from watching criminal investigative shows Barbara really enjoyed and valued the company of family, friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her spouse; Ernest Curry; mother, Charity Rucker; father, Wallace Gus Bryant; sister; Jean Ann Allen; uncle; Cornelius Frank Bryant, sons; Andre Earnest Curry Jr., Kathartis Curry, Michael Solomon, Donald Webb and grandson, Rashann Curry and great grandson; Roderick Lucas, Jr. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her, daughters, Gail Solomon, Robin Solomon (Cannon), and Gail Culver (Dorothy Lamar); 3 sons, Brain Curry, Eric Curry (Kenya) and Kevin Solomon (Tymie); grandchildren; Fabbiani Collier, Kendi, Sherrie, Eric, Erron, Kanin, Shondre, and Aujonae Curry, Tameka Dennis, Kierra, Brittni, Ashley and Kayonna Solomon, Chasity, Donald II, Ty'Shayla, Jason, and Breandon Webb; great grandchildren, De'mariyon, Bri'Anna, Priti Sinisterra, Kyle Brown, Isaac Branton, Theron Speights, Fay'Bianni, Paige, August Collier, Michael, Makayla Coleman, Aniyah Key, Kendahl and Targaya Williams, Brycen Hunt, Donald III, Dason, Destini, Kameran, Keylan and Ariyah Webb; great great grandchildren, Kylie, Kyle Jr. Brown, I'sion, Caasi Branton, James Williams and Roderick Lucas III; niece; Sonya Bryant; nephews, Kenny and Corey Bryant (Shantae); god-children, Aammiyah Maynor, Robyn Dixon, Nicholas Davis; and Tiffany Sams and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, September 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
