Our beloved Barbara was born on February 14, 1934, to the late Rev. John Doyle and Dezell Young Doyle, in Tampa, Florida. Barbara was the oldest of 11 children. For her formative education, she attended Saint Benedict Catholic School in Tampa, Florida. Barbara was a proud 1952 Middleton Sr. High School graduate. After graduating, she began working at Wolf Brother's Department Store in downtown Tampa. She was a dedicated teachers aide for the Hillsborough County School System for 27 years. Barbara will always be remembered as a football fanatic, being particularly loyal to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She was an avid reader with a special interest in politics and history. Traveling with her sisters and attending family gatherings were near and dear to Barbaras heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John and Dezell Young Doyle; husband, Benjamin Franklin; sisters, Etheline Jackson, Joanna Hunter, Ruth Brantley, and Priscilla Watson; brothers, Barna, Jairus, Titus, and Justus Doyle; and great-grandson, Jessy Golfin III. She leaves to cherish her memory: children, Drew A. Franklin, Wayne R. Franklin, Valerie F. Morgan (Tim) all of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Druemia Hudgins-Diggs, Timielle Nurse (Anton), and Amber Morgan (Terrance), all of Tampa, FL; great-grandchildren, Antonis Nurse, Timyeus Nurse, Samson Ivey, Titan Corbett, DeAndre Hudgins, Daija Golfin, Antwain Diggs, Jr., Druemarion Diggs, and Mianna Diggs, all of Tampa; brother, John Doyle, Jr. (Marlene) of Tacoma, WA; sister, Naomi Jones of Tampa, FL; special nieces, Zelda Holmes (Peter) of Tampa, FL, Zenda Browne (Charles) of Poinciana, FL, Monica and Malani Spencer of Wimauma, FL, Constance Jones of Tampa, FL, Cheryl Blake (Raymond) of Dallas, Texas, Iris Caldwell Franklin, and Stephanie Franklin Johnson (Ivory), all of Louisville, KY; special nephews, Reginald Jackson (Brenda), Maricopa, Arizona, Gregory Franklin, Gary, and John Franklin (Tacara) all of Louisville, KY; brothers-in-law, Raymond C.
