A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Ben Lee Brown of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 will be held Tuesday, June 16th, 11:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Pastor Michael Price, officiating. The interment will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Ben Lee Brown was born on September 24, 1928 in Havana, Florida to the late Celest Allison Mathis. He was educated in the public schools of Gadsden County. In July 1950 he was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Lena Ola Jackson Brown, and to this union came 3 children. Ben retired from Morrison Cafeteria after 45 years of dedicated service. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mayflower AME Church in Havana, Florida. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who worked diligently to be a strong patriarch and provider for his family. Mr. Ben Lee Brown peacefully went home to be with the Lord and entered eternal rest. His loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Lena Ola Jackson Brown and his sons Benjamin Brown and Marion Brown preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish fond memories 3 daughters, Jackie Brown, Dorine Williams and Chandra Dilworth (Billie); 1 daughter-in-law Sylvia Brown; 5 grandsons, Alonzo Brown, Shaver Clemons, Markiesta Brown, Clifton Williams (Nichole) and Jovan Dilworth; 5 granddaughters, Toynetta Camon (Aaron), Breanna Brown, Katana Jones (Tim), Dewania Seaton (Aundray) and Tonya Brown; 17 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; devoted cousin, Irene C Johnson; devoted niece, Doris Gary; devoted friend Johnnie Lippitt; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. The visitation will be held on hour prior to the service 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. We are following the CDC guidelines.
