Deacon Benjamin Grier was born on October 17, 1939 in Blakely, Ga. to Bennie and Carrie Grier. He departed this life on October 17, 2024, on his 85th birthday. Mr. Grier was married to Alice Grier, who preceded him in death.

Dea. Grier was a member of New Progress MB Church where he loved serving on the deacons board, and he enjoyed serving as the Superintendent of the Sunday School.

Deacon Grier loved the Lord, and he read his Bible every day. He was a hard working man, and he worked for Longshoremen for many years. Deacon Grier was very outspoken, and he didn't have a problem with expressing himself!

Deacon Grier was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and all his siblings.

Mr. Grier leaves cherished memories to son, Nathaniel Grier (Willie Bell), daughter, Brenda Grier, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
