A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Bertha M. Frazier of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 will be held Friday, February 19th, 2:00 p.m. at Tampa Life Church, 10930 U.S. N. 301, Rev. James Crews, officiating and Pastor Robert Tisdale, eulogist. The interment will be held in Orange Hill Cemetery.
Bertha was born March 12, 1932 in Parrott, Georgia. She joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church, moving to Calvary Tabernacle then Tampa Life Center. She was employed with Delmonte in Plymoth, Florida; moving to Tampa in 1956 there she began her career as a hairstylist in the community, then establishing her own salon, "Bertha Beauty Salon". She married Andrew L. Frazier, Sr. on Feb. 21, 1953 in Plymouth, Florida who preceded her in death in 1998. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Andrew L. Frazier, Sr.; son, Andrew L. Frazier, Jr.; siblings, Addie Holloway, Doris Pearce, Willie Walls, Curtis Walls, Arthur Walls, Sr., Luther Hall, Gardener Walls, Lois Relena Walls and Roy Walls. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, daughter, Cynthia M. Grant (Courtney) and son, Anthony Frazier (Valerie); grandchildren, Kevin Frazier, Keith Frazier, Anddrikk Frazier (Rena), Alleo Frazier (Tiffany) of North Carolina, Sharvettye Blackwell (Marquel) of Houston, Texas, Corey Frazier of Oregon, Courtney Grant "CJ" (Sandra) and Cody Grant (Jordonzia); great-grandchildren, Cha-Rai, Chase, Keilynn, Trestyn, Chailani, Jailyn, Carter and K.J Grant, LeQuay, Shyeloh and Shay Blackwell, Aeden, Aja, Alivia and Aryn Frazier; sister, Helen Copes of Trenton, New Jersey; sisters-in-law, Ollie Frazier of New York, Florence Frazier of Philadelphia and Miriam Frazier of South Carolina; nieces, Mary Hall of Georgia, Annie Bell Moultrie (Gene), Ernestine Alston (Marion), Lorriane Shirley Calhoun, Lennell Pittman, Girlene, Margaret and Pearl Holloway; nephews, Walter Hall (Freddie) of Arizona, Alvin Pearce (Cynthia), Archie Walls, Sr. and Arthur Walls, Jr.; special friends and family, Life Path Hospice, Davita nurses and staff, the Woods family, Karen Taylor and Linda Arenas and Hattie Grier; special caregiver and grandson, Kevin Frazier.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home Thursday, February 18th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Friday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
