A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Bessie Mae Rahmings of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 will be held on Friday, December 11th at First Born Church of the Living God, 3727 N. 29th Street, Elder Larry Cook, Sr., officiating. The interment will be held in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Bessie Rahmings was born on April 29, 1928 in Tampa, Florida to the late Henry U. and Dora Bell Gray. She was a dedicated member of First Born Church of the Living God. Bessie loved to sew and craft. Her favorite quote to say was 'God is still on the throne!'
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert Rahmings; daughter, Cynthia Bell Pierce; and grandson; Paul Engram.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Clyde W. Dorsey (Sheryl Williams), Henry D. Dorsey (Ruby) and Linda J. Dorsey; grandchildren, Doneen D. Ferguson (Leroy), Antionette Pierce, Marcus Williams, Crystal L. Dorsey, Ashley M. Dorsey, Keisha Williams, Whitney Dorsey, Jessica Dorsey, Henry C. Dorsey, Shamika Dorsey, Cedric Dorseyand Nicole House; great-grandchildren; D'Kari Dorsey-Allen, Dy'Anii Dansella Dorsey-Allen, Alexis Russ, Rodrick Nelson, Jeremiah Nelson, Aubriana Baker, Mahryiah K. Dorsey, McKenzie McCoy, Rihanna Williams, Limark Williams, Destiny McKenzie, Lauryn McCoy, Major, Rahiah, Silas H., and Aurora M. Dorsey, Ah'Layah Calderon, Teagen Dorsey, Briana Engram, Jocylyn Bird, and Xaire Williams; cousins, Gloria Turner, Barbara Davis, Betty King, and Maude Bradshaw; special friends, Frank Hough, Annie Mae Crump, Cynthia Few, Curtis McDowell, Laura Willis, Ted Cannedy, Sam Austin, Tony Baker, James Poole, and Geisha Clemons.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Thursday, December 10th at 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Friday for the service. We are following the CDC guidelines.
