A Graveside Homegoing Service for Mrs. Betty Jean "Bet" Knowles will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Ave., the Rev. Melvin Biviens, officiating.

Betty Jean was born May 31, 1957 in Tampa, Florida to the late Eugene Henry and Lillie Biviens Henry. Betty enjoyed writing poems and working with children to better their perspective on life. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Tedric D. Maynard.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Matthew L. Knowles; children, Lawanda S. Langston (Charles), Lamar Maynard and Jabbar Maynard; grandchildren, Natalia (Nae-Nae), Natalie O'Neal (Jamel), Nathaniel O'Neal, Kisha Miranda (Xavier), Cedrick Cochran and Zion Cochran; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Bridget Henry, Reama Scott (Frank), Tamienia Bellamy (Leroy) and Samantha Mulero (Martin); sister-in-law, Mattie Shannon; aunts and uncles, James Biviens (Freddy), Faye Parker (George), Sunday Biviens Reese (Archie), Melvin Biviens (Sandra); and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, near and far; and her beautiful Lee Davis family.

Calling hours will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 9, 2021from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at Rest Haven Cemetery for the services on Wednesday.
