The visitation of Mrs. Betty Ann Byrd of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Friday, November 18th, 2016 was held Monday, November 21st, 10:00 a.m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E Dr. M.L.K Jr. Blvd, Tampa, Florida. The interment will be in Florida National Cemetery. Betty was born April 20th, 1944. She departed this life at Hawthore Health and Rehab. Betty was a lifelong resident of Tampa, FL. She attended the public schools of Hillsborough County. After graduating high school, she met and married, James William Byrd and to this union they were given one beautiful daughter, Renvye Byrd. Betty's hobbies were traveling, sewing and music she was an avid reader. She had many friends at Hawthore Health and Rehab Center, who have loved and cared for her for 11 years. She was preceded in death by her husband and father, Julius Rose who passed from 1978 - 1999. She leaves to cherish her memories with her daughter; Renvye Byrd; granddaughter, Ashley Rivera (Angel); 3 great grandchildren, Jordan, Elijah and Kymani; mother, Pearl Charleton; sisters, Shirley Dixon and Carolyn Hargrove Sevval; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, among whom were a very Bishop Charles Wilson, overseer. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Monday for the visitation.
