A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Betty Hunter Chatham of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 will be held Friday, December 30th, 5:00 p.m. at New Beginning Church of God, 407 S. Knight St. Plant City, Florida, Elder Derrick Blue, pastor, officiating. Betty Hunter Chatham was born August 29, 1943 to the late Samuel and Beatrice Hunter in Tampa, Florida. Betty attended the local schools of Hillsborough County. She attended New Beginning Church of God by Faith, Plant City, Florida. Betty enjoyed working on her word search puzzles. She was preceded in the death by her parents; children, Curtis Sweet, James Sweet and Don Sweet; sister, Connie Mathis; brothers, Calvin Hunter and Roosevelt Hunter. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her children, Judy Watherspoon (Winston) and Dwayne Ward; a host of grand and great-grandchildren; brothers, George Hunter, Douglas MacArthur Hunter (Pearl) and Samuel Hunter; sisters, Shirley Bramble and Judy Smith (Lester); a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. The services will be held at New Beginning Church of God on Friday, December 30th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Friday for the service.
