Bevain W. Johnson "KuKu" was born April 19, 1952, to Lillie Mae Wright and Thomas Harrison, who both preceded her in death. She loved the Lord and was a charter member of Cathedral of Faith Church, Inc., under the leadership of Apostle James H. Howell, Sr. Bevain was educated through the Hillsborough County Public School system, graduating from Howard W. Blake in 1971. She worked in the field of law, medicine, and after retirement worked in after-school programs. She was an angel among us and enjoyed thrifting and graciously opening her home to family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tyrone Johnson; sisters, Mary Hawkins and Thomasina Norwood; nephews, Curtis Norwood and Sanchez Andrews; mother-in-law, Ruthie Mae Mathis; sister and brothers-in-law, Madeline Cherry, Ronald Johnson, and Paul Johnson.
Bevain leaves her profound and loving legacy to her treasured and adoring sons, Xavier Johnson, Sr. (LaShawn) and Negil Johnson; Tynette Johnson-Gyden (Walt); cherished and loving grandchildren, NiJae Johnson and Xavier Johnson Jr., Jayla and Jaylen Smith, and Walter Gyden, Jr.; sisters, Shirley Andrews, Jo Ann Myles (Reggie), Gloria Vickers (Danny); brother, John Cherry; nieces and nephews, Amber Lamar, Tasha Hawkins, Persephanie Byron (Carey), Natalie Jean-Baptiste, Raynette Bolden (Yaphett), Uhura Cherry, Griffin "Duke" Myles, Shaconna Mann, Jovonte Lamar (Celest), Kayla Vickers (Denaric), Myron Norwood (Tarvia), Kevin Norwood, Ashlee Simpson, Vanessa George, Marquissa Covington, Juwan Cherry, Danzel Vickers, Michael E.
